Alamogordo Public Schools is proud to recognize Eva Westover as the Class of 2025 Valedictorian and Charlotte Gross as the Salutatorian, honoring two exceptional students whose dedication and resilience have earned them the highest academic honors at their high school graduation.
Eva Westover, the middle child in a family of five, is known for her academic excellence, leadership in her church, and commitment to learning. A member of the tennis team and former volleyball and swim team athlete, Eva balanced her studies with a wide range of extracurriculars. She also recently earned her Associate of Arts degree through NMSU-A’s dual credit program. In the fall, Eva will attend Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where she plans to study pre-med and become a Physician Assistant. Inspired by global humanitarian work with her father, a dentist, Eva is passionate about helping others through medicine.
Charlotte Gross, the 2025 Salutatorian, is a first-generation American and second-generation college student whose drive for academic excellence stems from a deep gratitude and pride in her heritage. A four-year member and two-year captain of the Alamogordo Tiger Color Guard and Winter Guard, Charlotte’s commitment extended far beyond the classroom. She will attend New Mexico State University this fall, majoring in psychology with plans to become a psychiatrist. Charlotte’s personal experiences overcoming mental health challenges fueled her passion for helping others through the field of mental health care.
“We are incredibly proud of Eva and Charlotte,” said Superintendent Michael Crabtree. “Their achievements reflect not only intelligence and hard work, but also dedication, compassion, and a drive to make a difference. We are confident they and all our Alamogordo High School Graduates will continue to shine in the years ahead, and we look forward to following their journeys.”
Both students expressed gratitude to their families, teachers, and mentors for supporting them along the way. They offered advice to future students to work hard, listen, and persevere—even in the face of challenges. As they take their next steps toward bright futures, Alamogordo Public Schools celebrates their achievements, the achievements of all the 2025 graduates, and the inspiration they provide for future generations of learners. Congratulations, Class of 2025!
