Alamogordo, NM – April 3, 2026 – The popular Voices of Alamogordo community forum series returns Tuesday, April 7, 2026, with an engaging salon-style discussion featuring key leaders from the City of Alamogordo’s Parks & Recreation and Community Services departments, along with representatives from the Public Library, Alamo Senior Center, and Alamogordo-White Sands Regional Airport.
Produced by 2nd Life Media Alamogordo Town News and KALH Radio, the forum provides residents an opportunity for open, respectful, and informative dialogue with city staff who deliver essential daily services that enhance quality of life in Alamogordo.
Dr. Stephanie Hernandez, City Manager (formerly Acting City Manager), is expected to participate alongside department leaders. The panel will include:
• Eileen Flint, Community Services Director — overseeing a wide range of community programs and recently recognized as a finalist for Tourism Professional of the Year.
• Kim Underwood (Kimberly Underwood, MLS), Public Library Manager — directing library services, programs, and resources for all ages.
• Magdalena Morales, Alamo Senior Center Director/Manager — managing programs for older adults, including meals, transportation, fitness, and social activities.
• Troy Orr, Airport Manager — overseeing operations at the Alamogordo-White Sands Regional Airport, supporting aviation, economic development, and regional connectivity.
The forum will give residents a chance to learn more about current projects, services, challenges, and future plans in parks, recreation, senior programs, library resources, community services, and airport operations. Attendees can ask questions and share feedback in a welcoming, conversational setting.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Otero Arts (Otero Artspace), located at 1118 Indiana Avenue at 12th Street in Alamogordo. The historic Pueblo Revival-style building (a restored 1930s WPA structure) offers a comfortable and inspiring atmosphere for civic conversation.
This forum continues the Voices of Alamogordo series tradition of bringing together community members and local leaders for transparent, solution-oriented discussions on issues that matter most to residents.
The event is free and open to the public. No registration is required, though space is limited and early arrival is encouraged.
