I'm not sure where John was, but at the real protest, which my wife and me and 500 other Alamogordons attended, there was a lot of support from drivers on White Sands Blvd, including semitrucks, many cars, and a lot of pickup trucks and SUVs.

Original poster mentions “the left”.  Ummm, the “No Kings” movement isn’t about party politics. It’s about ownership—who owns this country, who the government serves, and whether we’ve got the guts to live up to the words that built it.

Appreciate the editorial comments and frankly agree with a majority of it. Locally you are correct there are no bars and I agree with your sentiments concerning the bars and their role to free speech.
