Alamogordo High School Tigers and 101.9 FM, 1230 AM announce Elijah Montoya as the Tiger Basketball - 12/8/23 Tiger Athlete of the Week is sponsored by The Winners' Circle.

Alamogordo Tigers Swim team competed this weekend. In Swimming the Alamogordo High Schoom Girls finished 6th and the Boys 8th at the Cleveland Invite in Rio Rancho.

Arabella Rosales qualified for the state meet in the 50 Free (26.90).

Both teams next compete at Carlsbad meet on Saturday.

In other sports news Wrestling Results for Alamogordo High School and i. Wrestling the Alamogordo Boys finished 22nd (out of 38 teams) at the Las Cruces Invitational. The Alamogordo Girls finished 33rd (out of 37).

Both teams will next compete in a TRI at Ruidoso on Wednesday with Goddard also competing.

Boys Basketball  Alamogordo defeated Lovington 58-44 to win 3rd place at the Artesia City of Champions Classic.
Jason Warren led the Tigers with 16 points, Marcus Bryant Jr. had 13 and Tre Sanders with 9. Jason Warren and Kai Bickham named to all-tournament team. The Tigers improve to 5-1, next play at Deming on Tuesday.

Regional Basketball Results include Tularosa defeated Rehoboth Christian 58-53 to win the Rehoboth Christian Tournament. Dillon Salazar led the Wildcats with 19 points, Fabian Pacheco had 14, Estevan Barraza with 8 and Seth Kazhe had 7.  Dillon Salazar named tournament MVP, Fabian Pacheco, Seth Kazhe and Jalen Randall named to all tournament team.  The Wildcats improve to 4-0 and next host the Johnny May Classic in Tularosa starting on Thursday.

Boys Basketball  El Paso Leadership Academy defeated Mescalero Apache 42-22 at the Mesilla Valley Christian Tournament.
Avin Yellowcloud led the Chiefs with 7 points and Thomas Douglass had 6.
The Chiefs drop to 3-2, next host Mescalero Apache Tournament starting on Thursday.

Girls Basketball Results Artesia defeated Alamogordo 65-52 in 3rd place game of the City of Champions Classic.
Gordon led the Lady Tigers with 19 points, Elizabeth Needham had 8, Abby Vazquez and Mya Fox each had 7. Vazquez and Gordon names to all-tournament team.
The Lady Tigers drop to 2-3, next host Deming on Tuesday.

Riverside defeating Alamogordo 65-43 at the Artesia City of Champions Classic. Teeya Gordon led the Lady Tigers with 16 points, Abby Vazquez had 13 and Elizabeth Needham had 7.

Girls Basketball -Questa defeated Tularosa 29-25 at the Santa Rosa Lady Lion Classic.
Lady Cats fall to 2-2, next play at the Texico Tournament starting on Thursday.

Girls Basketball Tularosa defeated Cottonwood Classical 61-19 at the Santa Rosa Lady Lion Classic. Maycee Griffin led the Lady Cats with 17 points, 4 assists and 5 steals. Megan Hooten had 14 points and 3 blocks, RayAnn Chavez with 7 points and 6 rebounds and Danae Evans had 7 points and 8 rebounds.
