Alamogordo Boys Triumph, Girls Claim Third at Ralph Bowyer Invitational in Carlsbad

Alamogordo, New Mexico – March 9, 2026

The Alamogordo High School boys track and field team dominated the competition at the Ralph Bowyer Invitational held in Carlsbad on Friday, securing first place overall. The girls team also shone brightly, finishing in third position. Meanwhile, the Cloudcroft High School boys placed ninth, and the girls came in tenth in their respective divisions.

Highlights from the meet included several state qualifiers from the local teams. For Alamogordo, Nathan Cereceres qualified in the 100m, Tristan Bowman in both the 100m and 200m, Julian Benitez in the 200m, and the boys’ 4x200 relay team. Cloudcroft’s Cassia Moore earned a state spot in the triple jump.

The boys’ team racked up impressive wins across multiple events:
