Alamogordo Police Blotter and Arrest Report : Two-Week Roundup, June 15–28, 2026 - 2nd Life Media AlamogordoTownNews.org

Alamogordo Police logged a busy stretch over the back half of June, with arrests and citations spanning domestic violence, DWI, theft, vandalism, and several serious traffic and drug cases, according to APD’s weekly reports.

Violence & Domestic Incidents

Multiple domestic violence cases were reported, including charges of battery and aggravated battery against household members, a felony battery case involving a repeat offender, and false imprisonment. One case involved a girlfriend’s car being damaged with thrown rocks, charged as criminal damage to a household member’s property. A juvenile, 16, was referred to Juvenile Probation for battery against a household member and detained pending a district court hearing. An attempted robbery was also reported, where a man allegedly tried to take money from another person by force.

DWI, Traffic & Reckless Driving

Two DWI arrests occurred during the second week, one involving aggravated fleeing from police and negligent use of a deadly weapon. A separate case involved a driver charged with license revocation violations. A serious crash with injuries occurred at Scenic and Indian McKinley, where a vehicle ran a stop sign, causing a rollover and hospitalizing a passenger.

Theft & Property Crime

Shoplifting was the most frequently cited offense across both weeks, with incidents at Walmart, a local thrift store, and other businesses. A stolen 2007 Ford F-150 was reported taken from private property, an investigation that remains open. Other cases included unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, larceny, breaking and entering, and unauthorized graffiti — five people were arrested together after suspicious activity was reported in a drainage ditch, several facing trespassing and graffiti charges.

Drug & Probation Violations

Several arrests stemmed from an assist with the White Mountain Drug Task Force, including a probation violation and an arrest on an adult probation and parole order. Separately, one man was arrested at a park for trespassing, possession of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.

Public Disorder

Disorderly conduct, resisting/evading/obstructing officers, and disturbance-related citations were common throughout both weeks, several tied to confrontations at public places and during traffic stops.

Juveniles

Multiple minors were referred to Juvenile Probation for offenses including shoplifting, minor in possession/being served alcohol, resisting an officer, DWI, reckless driving, and hit-and-run. A 15-year-old was detained on aggravated assault and criminal damage charges against a household member.

Other Notable Incidents

Three unattended deaths were reported across the two weeks during welfare checks; all appear to be natural/medical, with OMI and next of kin notified in each case.

A structure fire at Tinsley Trailer Park spread to multiple units; the cause is still under investigation.

An out-of-state case surfaced when a man was arrested on a Texas warrant for failure to register as a sex offender.

Numerous arrests across both weeks stemmed from outstanding warrants for failure to appear or failure to pay fines.
