Congratulations to Troy Ainsworth from Organ Mountain High School in Las Cruces for winning this year’s Congressional Art Competition for New Mexico's Second Congressional District. His piece, “Age-old Rivals,” will hang in the U.S. Capitol for all to see.
Congressman Gabe Vasquez says, "I am proud to uplift young artists and celebrate the creative talent in our district! Troy’s artwork is a powerful display of talent, creativity and storytelling. It’s an honor to have a student from southern New Mexico represent our district at the U.S. Capitol. His piece will inspire countless visitors as they walk the halls of Congress.”
In addition to having his art displayed, Ainsworth will be invited to Washington, D.C., this summer for a national reception honoring student artists.
The annual Congressional Art Competition was established in 1982 to celebrate student artists and highlight the importance of arts education. This year’s submissions reflected the diverse cultures, landscapes and communities of southern New Mexico.

I talked to my pharmacist about the MMR vaccine and they told me that there was a period of 4 years, from 1963 - 1967, that the vaccine was found to be ineffective.
That pharmacist said that people born between 1958 - 1967 may want to get re-vaccinated just to be sure.
AI will be primarily a service provided over the internet, and as such, it should be regulated at the federal level only.
I never thought I would find myself agreeing with AG Torrez, but since federal regulations are not in place, and yet urgently needed, the amendment is premature.

Cabinet Secretary Alisha Tafoya Lucero's response was a little vague.
I really love these protests against president Trump.
They serve as a constant reminder of what the alternatives to Trump are.
Deepening his support.
While the Rad Retrocade won't be bad for the city, and may even be
good for the city, I don't agree that it's what's "best" for the city.
I happen to agree with Rev. Hopkins that the city needs to focus more
on getting manufacturing and other light industrial into the city.
As one that hires people here so many don't want to work, are not reliable and lack the skills for manufacturing. Small Military towns most manufacturing companies stay away from as the military is skilled labor but the spouses that would work are too transient.
Chris, your points are well taken, but again, I disagree on a few points.
