State Police agents learned that on May 5th, 2025, at approximately 2:48 a.m., officers with the Hobbs Police Department attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a Ford pickup truck driven by 40-year-old Justin Marshall Williams of Hobbs.

Williams fled from officers, and the vehicle was located a few moments later, parked in front of a residence on West White Street. Furthermore, Williams is also wanted on a warrant out of the Hobbs Police Department for Resisting, Evading an Officer, and Concealing Identity. Should anyone know his whereabouts, they are encouraged to call 911.

The New Mexico State Police does not determine whether an officer's actions were justified. This determination rests solely with the district attorney reviewing the investigation.
