On May 31, 2024, at around 5:30 a.m., the New Mexico State Police investigated a vehicle versus pedestrian fatal crash on Interstate 25 near mile marker 161.
The initial investigation indicated that a Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling southbound on Interstate 25 near mile marker 161. A deer crossed the road in front of the Chevy truck. The driver attempted to avoid hitting the deer, and lost control of the truck, causing it to roll into the median. Both the driver and passenger were able to exit the truck after the rollover. Adriana Jurado (22) was attempting to pick up debris and belongings from the crash in the northbound lanes of travel when she was struck by a white sedan that was traveling northbound. Adriana was pronounced deceased on scene by the Office of the Medical Investigator. The white sedan fled the scene. New Mexico State Police is asking the public with assistance in identifying the vehicle that hit Adriana. The make and model of the vehicle is unknown, but it will have heavy front-end damage on the driver side.
This crash is being investigated by the New Mexico State Police with the assistance of the Crash Reconstruction Unit.

I think Amy Bareala is more intrested in spending time taking picturs with her assualt rifles than she is doing her job. I would love to see her crack the whip on our countys code inforcement laws. I'm sick of the way the county has turned into a huge dumpster/ junkyard for all that wish to defile our county land.
