Alamogordo High School Athletics named the 101.9 1230 AM Alamo Sports Student Athlete of the Week, Sydney Crispin of Lady Tiger Powerlifting. The Tiger Athlete of the Week is sponsored by The Winners' Circle.
Girls Basketball - Alamogordo defeated Gadsden 50-17 in the District 3-5A Quarterfinals. Abby Vazquez led the Lady Tigers with 13 points, Celeste Perez had 9, Madi Flores and Teeya Gordon each had 7.
The Lady Tigers improve their record to 15 and 12 and will play at Organ Mountain Wednesday 6 PM.
In other sports Girls Basketball - Mescalero Apache defeated Capitan 39-26 in the District 3-2A Tournament Quarterfinals.
Laurdis Sundayman led the Lady Chiefs with 17 points, Molly Pena had 6 and Skyla Enjady with 5. The Lady Chiefs improved their record to 12 and 14 and next play at Lordsburg on Wednesday at 6 PM.
The victory above followed in Girls Basketball -Mescalero Apache defeating Cloudcroft 62-43 in District 3-2A Tournament First Round. Laurdis Sundayman led the Lady Chiefs with 20 points, Paisley Pike had 11 and Kaylyn Chino had 8.
Kylie Adams led the Lady Bears with 14 points and Ellie Beug had 9. The Lady Lady Bears finished their season of 5 and 21. Congratulations on your participation and teamwork.
Boys Basketball - Lordsburg defeated Cloudcroft 56-50 in District 3-2A Tournament First Round. Tyson Thompkins led the Bears with 19 points, Dominic Cuilla had 12 and Dominic Romero had 8. The Bears finish regular season at 7 and 16.
Congratulations to the Tularosa High School E-Sports team and Mr. Miyoshi. They are currently ranked #1 in the state and are undefeated! Keep up the great work!
