US Border Patrol Update Alamogordo Checkpoint 9.9 Kilos of Drugs and More

The United States Customs and Border Patrol El Paso station has been especially diligent with several recent high profile arrests at its various checkpoint and border crossings locations….

Alamogordo Station agents seized 9.9 kilos of cocaine from a US citizen traveling through the HWY 54 checkpoint this past weekend. The bundles have a street value of over $700,000.00

Another Alamogordo station apprehension a few weeks back was huge.  A Mother and daughter drug trafficking duo was charged. 
The Alamogordo Station agents discovered 19 kilos of meth stashed inside compartments of a sedan with a street value of over $1.3 Million. The Alamogordo Agents are always on high alert at immigration checkpoints and conducting checks that make a difference in the war on drugs flowing into the United States.

Border agents interdicted 6 smuggling schemes over the weekend totaling 62 migrants apprehended.

Among those, agents apprehended an 18th Street gang member, & assisted rescuing 18 additional migrants from a storm drain. The June daily average is 435 migrant encounters per the US Border Patrol El Paso Station officials.

Another apprehension included 35 migrants inside a box trailer. As temperatures begin to rise, ruthless smugglers continue place the lives of people in danger. Incredible job by the agents in identifying & intercepting the smuggling scheme within the box car by

International collaboration is the name of the game and as such the Ysleta Station Anti-Smuggling Unit & the El Paso Sector Integrated Targeting Team apprehended a migrant residing in San Elizario, TX wanted for murder in Mexico. The migrant was ultimately repatriated to Mexico.

Migrants Rescued! Vigilant Las Cruces, New Mexico agents at an immigration checkpoint responded to a 911 distress call from lost migrants. Agents utilized drone technology to locate 5 migrants including 1 juvenile.

El Paso Station’s Confined Space Entry Team rescued a Mexican family of 5 from a storm drain system on the border. Smugglers often exploit manholes & migrants often get lost or come across chemicals, toxic gases, insects, & fast-moving water as they illegally enter the U.S.

A Fake Federal Express Van and the Consequence of illegal Deliveries. 
The Santa Teresa Station Anti-Smuggling Unit agents along with Texas Department of Public Safety intercepted a smuggling scheme involving 26 smuggled migrants. Of the 3 vehicles involved, 2 were cloned FedEx vans. The smugglers will face significant charges.
