In area basketball action Organ Mountain High School Boys defeated Alamogordo 78 to 40. Julian Benitez led the Tigers with 11 points, Isiah Richards had 10 and Marcus Bryant Jr. with 9 the Tiger boys record dropped to 8 and 10 and 0 and 2 in district. The Tigers next host Mayfield on Monday.
Boys Basketball - Tularosa defeated Socorro 56-44. Zaine Hodges led the Wildcats with 15 points, Eluciano Gonzales had 10, Estevan Barraza with 8, Fabian Pacheco, Jacoby Apachito and Seth Kazhe each had 6. The Wildcats improved their record to 14 and 4 snd next play at Portales on Saturday.

Girls Basketball - Tularosa High School defeated Loving 60-21 at the Vicky Lawrence Tournament in Tularosa. Jaleria Caje led the Lady Cats with 13 points, Kiah Zysk had 10, Tamara Chavez with 7, Emma Ostic, Veronica Blazer and Kadence Kowatch each had 6. The Lady Cats improved their record to 5-13. They next play Cobre on Friday at 6:30 PM.
