Tiger of the Week, Baseball, Golf and Softball Regional Updatw

Alamogordo High School Tiger Sports announced Gabriel Coyazo of Tiger Baseball is the  4/21/23 Tiger Athlete of the Week is sponsored by The Winners' Circle, 101.9 FM and 1230 AM Alamogordo Sports Radio. 

Alamogordo Sports High School Golf update:

The Alamogordo High School Boys and Girls Golf teams each finished 2nd at the Spring Classic at the NMMI Golf Course.

The Mescalero Apache Boys finished 6th.

Both Alamogordo teams will play at Wildcat Invite in Clovis on Monday. The Chiefs will be at the NMMI Classic next Friday in Roswell.

The Mescalero Apache Boys Golf finished 4th at Monday's Leroy Gooch Invitational at the Links and were 9th at Tuesday's Alien 8 Invitational at the NMMI Golf Course.

Chiefs next at Spring Classic in Roswell on Thursday.

Area Baseball action included Tularosa swept  Lordsburg, winning 12-0 in Game 1 and 16-6 in Game 2. The Wildcats improve to 12-7, 6-0 in district - next play at Mescalero Apache on Saturday.

Capitan Boys Baseball defeated  Mescalero Apache 20-1. The Chiefs now 4-16-1, 1-4 in district - next host Tularosa on Saturday.

Las Cruces defeatsed Alamogordo 8-6 (Game 1).

The Tularosa Wildcat Girls  swept the Mescalero Apache Girls in a double header winning 23-6 in Game 1 and 32-0 in Game 2. The Lady Cats improve their record to 13-7, 6-0 in district - next play at Mesilla Valley Christian on Tuesday.

The Lady Chiefs are now 8-9, 1-6 in district, next play at Mesilla Valley on Saturday.
