ALAMOGORDO, N.M. — Alamogordo Police Department officers and detectives arrested 33-year-old Wesley Gilmore on Tuesday afternoon in connection with two commercial burglaries at the former Emerald Market location that resulted in the theft of more than $20,000 worth of trading card game (TCG) cards, including Pokémon cards.

Officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of Saturn Circle around 5:35 p.m. on July 14, 2026, to execute an arrest warrant. Gilmore was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Otero County Detention Center, where he is being held pending his initial court appearance.

According to the Alamogordo Police Department, the investigation began with two separate incidents at Emerald Market, which was previously located at 1711 Indian Wells Road:

• The first burglary occurred during the early morning hours of November 28, 2025, when a burglary alarm was activated.

• The second incident took place in the early morning hours of February 6, 2026, when officers responded to a possible burglary in progress and confirmed the business had been entered.

Detectives processed both crime scenes and collected evidence. Through an extensive investigation, APD developed leads that identified Gilmore as the suspect. On June 26, 2026, detectives executed a search warrant at the residence where Gilmore had been living and recovered evidence believed to be connected to the burglaries.

Gilmore faces the following charges:

• One count of Larceny Over $20,000 (2nd Degree Felony)

• One count of Possession of a Firearm by a Felon (3rd Degree Felony)

• Two counts of Commercial Burglary (4th Degree Felonies)

• One count of Disposing of Stolen Property (Misdemeanor)

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the Alamogordo Police Department Detective Division at (575) 439-4300.

This case highlights the continued efforts by local law enforcement to investigate and resolve property crimes in the Alamogordo community, even months after the incidents occurred.
