Alamogordo, NM — Music lovers and wellness seekers in the Tularosa Basin have a special treat coming this month. Renowned local flutist Samuel Pollack returns to Otero Artspace for an evening of immersive, multicultural flute music in his signature “Temple of Wind” experience on Monday, May 27, at 7:00 PM.
Pollack, an Alamogordo native and traveling professional musician, has spent over 15 years collecting and mastering rare wind instruments from around the world. His performances blend ambient soundscapes, nature-inspired reverbs, and improvisational melodies drawn from diverse cultural traditions — creating a meditative “sound journey” that promotes relaxation, healing, and connection to the earth and spirit.
“I do these events to provide my hometown with a musical and peaceful experience that is truly unique,” Pollack shared in a previous interviewwith AlamogordoTownNews.org . “This new age profession is something I have been doing for years now… Sharing my love for the flute and wind instruments is one of my highest joys. To share sounds that most people don’t or won’t ever hear in person.”
His inspirations draw from ambient music, video game and film soundtracks (such as Lord of the Rings and Legend of Zelda), and the work of other sound healing practitioners. Pollack’s “Temple of Wind” events have become popular at venues like Trinity Turtle Healing Labyrinth Park, where audiences gather for sunset performances filled with harmonious, transcendent flute melodies.
Otero Artspace, located at 12th and Indiana in Alamogordo, provides the perfect intimate setting for this performance. Attendees can expect a relaxing evening of live music designed for contemplation and renewal.

I was interested, went, and met the Mayor. Then, today, I obtained her records from Indiana University. Her grades were far below good. She skated out with a nothing-burger. What are her qualifications to pontificate about issues like nuclear fallout?
Mister Edwards, please make sure when I post that my name shows up.
I am neither afraid nor embarrassed by my statements. Thank you sir.
Sunny, with a high of 96 and low of 74 degrees. Sunny in the morning, clear during the afternoon and evening,
Meanwhile, gigawatts of free energy fall on Alamogordo's sand and rock every day, unused.
and, we find ourselves bombarded with numerous proposed data centers which if permitted will devour tremendous amounts of both electrical power, and water - neither of which can be spared.
Valid point. Similar to all the gallons of free water directed through town out into the desert every time it rains.
i hope that some arrangement can be made to preserve this scientific and historic facility - but given a basic understanding of the leakage in the floatation bearing, i fear that it is a long-shot proposition.
this is a classic example of a two-edged sword - the potential for both positive and negative results is very apparent.
I am very happy that we are keeping them. Let's see how things go.
two very difference visions of what our government should look like, and how it should function...one is, go along to get along - the other says search for the truth. it is past time for the truth to be told, to not spare the horses, to let the chips fall where they may.
whose side are you on?
I thought I read here that John Block sux ****? That's not cool. It's a sin.
A sin? According to whose invisible friend? Yours? Those aluminum cans are calling.
block is JAR - just another republican - co-operating to "block" the evidence that their dear leader was involved in plenty of the nastiest of the epstein shenanigans. i can only hope that the survivors, and the public, live long enough for the truth to be revealed.
Is that kinda like being a RINO?
I think I read here a month ago that John Block sux cokc? That's not dignified of our leadership. It's a sin.
