The Alamogordo Tigers Cross Country Team has begun its season with its first competition in El Paso.
Friday's Stars and Strides Meet at Eastwood High School in El Paso is the largest cross country meet in the history of El Paso, under the lights at a night time race. High school, middle school, and club teams from the area of West Texas and New Mexico participate.
The Alamogordo Boys finished 12th (out of 21 teams) at Friday's Stars and Strides Meet at Eastwood High School in El Paso.

Alamogordo High School’s cross country team is making solid strides in New Mexico for the 2025 season. While they’re not currently ranked among the top-tier programs like Los Alamos or Albuquerque Academy, they’re showing promising development.
The Tiger Cross Country Team next runs at the Cloudcroft Meet on Friday.

So, it went from a semi open primary to a closed selection process limited to registered democrats being eligible for selection? Interesting.
i have participated in a much smaller scope version of this same situation - about 20 years ago, as a precinct chairman of the democratic party in a rural east texas county. after the primary election, the democratic candidate for a seat on the county commission suddenly died.
So any candidate regardless of party affiliation may submit their name for consideration?
