Alamogordo Tigers Boys basketball had Carlsbad leading Alamogordo 14-5 after the first quarter. Carlsbad led Alamogordo 29 to 16 at the halftime. Carlsbad led Alamogordo 48 to 31 after the third quarter. Carlsbad defeated Alamogordo 67 to 38 at the final. Julian Favela, William Bynum and Isiah Richards each had 7 points to lead the Tigers, Jaedyn Hernandez had 6.
The Tiger boys drop to 2 to 3 and next will play at Roswell on Tuesday.
Boys Basketball -Tularosa defeated Lordsburg 56 to 38 at the Johnny May Classic. Seth Kazhe led the Wildcats with 13 points, Fabian Pacheco had 10, Estevan Barraza with 8 and Eluciano Gonzales had 7. The Wildcats improved their record to 2 and 0 and will face Cobre on Friday at 6:30 pm.
Boys Basketball - Cloudcroft defeated Reserve 60 to 32 at the Mountain Top Tournament. The Bears improved their record to 3 ans 3 and next play Hondo Valley at 7 PM on Friday.
Boys Basketball - Alamo Navajo defeated Mescalero Apache 70 to 51 at the Mescalero Holiday Classic. The Chiefs fall in their recors to 1 and 4 and next play Quemado at 12:30 PM on Friday.
Girls Basketball - Mescalero Apache defeatex Escalante 45 to 29 at the Mescalero Holiday Classic. Molly Pena led the Lady Chiefs with 18 points, K-Rae Chino had 10, Laurdis Sundayman had 5 and Cielo Herrera had 5 points and 11 boards. The Lady Chiefs improved their record to 4 and 1 they next play Newcomb at 5 pm on Friday.
