Alamogordo, NM – Mayor Sharon McDonald’s annual city-wide clean-up initiative is back on July 18th, giving residents an excellent opportunity to clear out unwanted items and beautify the community. This year’s event, themed “Dump Your Junk,” is hosted and coordinated from the historic Dudley School Community Center and Park.

Services Offered:
• Free dumpsters at multiple convenient locations throughout the city.
• Yard clean-up assistance available for Seniors, Disabled residents, and Military families.
• Free document shredding at headquarters from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon.

Get Involved
Volunteers will receive their assignments at the Dudley Community Center starting at 7:00 a.m. Residents needing yard cleanup assistance or wishing to volunteer are encouraged to contact organizers promptly and complete any required sign-up and waiver forms.

We appreciate that Mayor McDonald is being proactive on the water infrastructure issue. We feel there may be a reckoning regarding the water issue in the Southwest in the not too distant future. We also appreciate the informative reporting. Keep up the good work!
Wow Stu! Spoken like a person that never got punched in the mouth and it shows. Secondly, I’m not sure proactive is the right term when you state after years of neglect. Does this mean water infrastructure becomes a priority or attempts at Natatoriums and pretty signs?
We need a qualified person, not someone who ran on race.
