Alamogordo's New York Avenue Upcoming Events: Christmas on MainStreet and More

Alamogordo's central shopping and cultural arts district, New York Avenue is going through a makeover but the shops are still open. Sidewalks are accessible and there are ongoing specials to entice shoppers to visit each shop. Come on down!

Don't let a little dust get in the way of a great shopping experience to fine one of a lind gifts not found in the big box retail stores. Unique Christmas offerings from Victoria, Comics and Collectibles from Zia Comics, homemade, handcrafted and vintage at Roadrunner Galleria all on the 900 Block! Pop down to the 1200 Block at 12th and New York and find the coolest in Americana and primitive decor, candles and melts at Our Little Country Store across from Wells Fargo on 12th. Also visit Emerald Market for the finest in collectibles next door! 

Hungry? Did you know there is food in the New York Avenue Cultural Arts and Shopping District? Have you tried the newly revised and updated Memories Restaurant Alamogordo with the old fashioned famous Potato Soup for lunch, awesome steaks and weekend dinner.  Also on the 1200 Block of New York Avenue for breakfast and lunch Our Country Kitchen. For breakfast lunch and dinner till 8 La Cocinita on 12th between New York Avenue and White Sands Blvd. and don't forget facing White Sands Blvd but in the district is Asian Garden serving lunch and dinner daily. Also don't forget coffee and baked goods are available daily on the 900 Block at Infinity Sweets and of course MoniCakes continues strong with custom orders and more!

And onward to the upcoming celebrations. Small Business Saturday is coming up November 30th wirh all of the downtown merchants from the 1200 Block to the 800 Block offering special deals. Pop in also on Black Friday and avoid the rushes of the big store trample.

Christmas on MainStreet is happening with all shops open and street vendors from 10th snd New York all the way up to midway on 12th and New York to include the shopping center that hosts Asian Garden and Our Little Country Store. This expanded experience will host Santa Claus coming from Wells Fargo doen through New York Avenue. Street vendors, live dancers, musicians, DJ's, pagents snd more.
