4-20-21 Southern New Mexico High School Sports Round Up Mescalero Apache Girls 8-0 Undefeated Still!

Girls Basketball Roundup:

Alamogordo Girls defeated Mayfield 43-32. 

Anna Riordan led the Lady Tigers with 12 points, Sydney Lessentine had 10, Justyse Martin with 9 and Jacqueline Vera with 8. 

The Lady Tigers are now with a 3-5 record. They will host Deming on Thursday.

Mescalero Apache defeated Tularosa 67-25. 

Tunte Baca led the Lady Chiefs with 20 points and Samantha Kazhe had 16. Maycee Griffin led the Lady Cats with 13 points. 

Lady Chiefs are now 8-0 undefeated and will host Capitan on Thursday. 

The Lady Cats drop to 1-6 will next play at Lordsburg on Saturday.

Boys Basketball Roundup:

Alamogordo defeated Mayfield 70-39. 

Scott Mullin leads the Tigers with 28 points, Ivan Bernal had 14 and Harlon Gilbert with 8. The Boy Tigers are now at a  7-1 season and will play at Deming on Thursday.

Mescalero Apache Boys defeated Tularosa 53-51. 

Ray Dolan led the Chiefs with 24 points, George Rocha with 14 and Duncan Balatche had 8. 

Travis Henderson led the Wildcats with 22 points and Israel Ortega had 19. 

The Chiefs roll on to 7-1 record and  will host Capitan on Thursday. 

The Wildcats drop to 6-1 and will host NMMI on Thursday.
