Boys Basketball Roundup:
Las Cruces defeated Alamogordo 70-56. Scott Mullin led the Tigers with 20 points, Ivan Bernal had 13 and Klevon Spencer with 12. The Tiger Boys drop to a 4-1 record. The Alamogordo Tigers will play at Gadsden on Tuesday.
The Mescalero Apache Boys defeated NMMI 59-41. The Chiefs are now 3-0 and will play at Capitan on Monday.
Cloudcroft defeated Lordsburg 42-38 in a close game. Elijah Gutierrez led the Bears with 20 points and Brad Lynch had 9. The Bears now have a record of 1-2 and will host Capitan on Tuesday.
Girls Basketball Roundup:
Las Cruces had a good night with both the boys and girls teams as the girls also defeated Alamogordo with a score of 50-38. Abby Vasquez led the Lady Tigers with 13 points following up on her leadership from the previous game this week. Sydney Lessentine scored 9 points. The Lady Tigers drop to 1 win and 4 losses and will host Gadsden on Tuesday.
The Mescalero Apache Girls defeated NMMI 53-29. Tunte Baca led the Lady Chiefs with 14 points, Ivonna Burgess had 11 and Brynn Martinez with 9. The Lady Chiefs are undefeated with 3-0 record. They will play at Capitan on Monday.
Lordsburg defeated Cloudcroft 47-28. Tylie Eamello led the Lady Bears with 17 points and Kaylee Hickman had 9. The Lady Bears drop to 3-1 record and will host Capitan on Tuesday.
