Boys Basketball Tournament play Tularosa defeated McCurdy 60-49 in the 2A First Round and moves forward. Zaine Hodges led the Wildcats with 18 points, Estevan Barraza and Dillon Salazar each had 12 and Fabian Pacheco with 7.
The Wildcats advance to 2A quarterfinals vs. Texico - 8 AM on Wednesday at the Rio Rancho Events Center.
Boys Basketball state tournament action continues in Los Lunas they defeated Alamogordo Tigers Bots 61 to 55 in the 5A First Round. Jason Warren led the Tigers with 14 points, Deonta Bynum and Damiran Smith each had 12 and Marcus Bryant Jr. with 9.
Congratulations to the Alamogordo Tigers on a great season and qualifying for state.
Boys Basketball - Eunice defeated Mescalero Apache 59-40 in the 2A First Round. Jason Kanseah led the Chiefs with 9 points, Darius Wheeler and Angelo Rocha each had 7 and Davin Davis with 6.

Girls Basketball State Competition No. 4 Tularosa defeats No. 13 Eunice 55-33 in the 2A State Tournament and move forward.
RayAnn Chavez led the Lady Cats with 14 points, Aaralyn Stephens had 12, Maycee Griffin with 11 and Nevaeh Apachito had 10.
Lady Cats advance to quarterfinals vs. No. 5 Menaul - will play at 3 PM on Tuesday at the Rio Rancho Events Center.
Girls Basketball - No. 2 Sandia defeated No. 15 Alamogordo 84-44 in the 5A State Tournament. Abby Vazquez led the Lady Tigers with 18 points, Teeya Gordon had 10 and Jillian Sanchez with 8. Congratulations to the Lady Tigers on a great season!
