Firefighters from Otero & Dona Ana Counties respond to fire in Chaparral Garage Fire

Firefighters responded to a fire at a home on Alice Marie Drive in Chaparral, New Mexico on Friday according to the Otero County Sheriff’s Office.

Emergency Services Director for Otero County, Matthew Clark, said a shed or garage with seven cars inside was involved in the fire.

Clark said the fire started around 7 p.m. Fire crews from Dona Ana County and Otero County responded to the scene to ensure it was contained. 

The fire marshal was also sent to the scene, the sheriff's office stated.

Investigators were called to the scene to further investigate the origin and details of the fire.
