Carol Lynn Hamilton passed away September 25, at 9:58 PM. She was born on April 28, 1944 in Pasadena, Texas to Rodney S. and Jean L. Larrabee.
Carol is survived by her husband, Spencer Hamilton, of 60 years of marriage; daughter, Teri Scott and her husband, Tim Scott, and their daughter, Jordon and son, Cole; daughter, Amy Hamilton; and son, Tom Hamilton, and his wife, Melissa Morin, and their son, Princeton.
Carol grew up in Seabrook, Texas, located on Clear Lake Shores next to NASA Headquarters south of Houston, Texas. She graduated from Clear Lake High School in League City, Texas class of '63. She got a degree as a CPA at Tarleton College at Stephenville, Texas. She and Spencer Hamilton were married on October 22, 1966, in Dawson, Texas by her friend, Reverend Love and marriage license sighed by Mark Twain. Carol and Spencer settle in Jasper, Texas where she drove a school bus for 20 plus years at Jasper School District. She won first place in a school bus driving contest in the South East Texas district and went to State in Austin, Texas and took third place.
She started a successful dog grooming and kennel business called "Hamilton's" on January 1, 1991 with her beloved daughter, Amy. She wrote an article, "Amy's Special Touch" published in Horizons magazine in March/April 1992.
Carol and her family settled in La Luz, New Mexico to be close to her grandkids.
Carol loved gardening. In her own words, "Dragonflies are on every continent except Antarctica. My connection to Dragonflies is that I have been on every continent except Antarctica" referencing worldwide travel with her family.
Services will be held at Scenic Chapel, 1334 N Scenic Drive, Alamogordo, NM on Wednesday, October 7. Visitation service will begin at 9:30 am with the funeral service at 10:30 am followed by burial at Monte Vista Cemetery.
