The Alamogordo High School band is leading a season of victories and is under the team leadership of a dedicated group of music professionals...

Mr. Turnbull is the band director at Chaparral Middle school S. This is his first year with the Alamogordo Tiger Band. He comes to Alamogordo from Youngstown University and from Pennsylvania.

Mrs. Julianne Bouma is the band/orchestra/choir/guitar director at Holloman Middle School. This is her third year working with ATB! She is a graduate of Franklin High School and NMSU!

Mr. Samuel Orozco is one of our color-guard instructors. This is his first year with ATB. He is currently pursuing a degree in Engineering from NMSU,

Mr. Mark Gallegos is the percussion instructor, This is his first year with ATB. He is a graduate of Organ Mountain HS and UNM.

Mr. Lucas Jackson is a band director at Alamogordo High School.  This is his first year with ATB. He is a graduate of Centennial HS, NMSU, and the Army School of Music.

Mr. David Bouma is a band director at Alamogordo High School. He has been a director with ATB since February 2019,  He is a graduate of Alamogordo High School and NMSU.

Mrs. Claudette Bouma is the wife of David Bouma, this is her third year helping ATB. She is currently a dental assistant and a graduate of Franklin High School and EPCC.

Mr. Diego Guerrero (the resident strong boy) is a tech with ATB. This is his first year helping with leadership of the ATB.  He is a graduate of Franklin High School and NMSU.He will soon be pursuing a graduate degree in Aerospace Engineering.

Mr. Aaron Meyers is the band director at Mountain View Middle School and is a color-guard instructor for the ATB.  This is his first year with us! He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.

(Not pictured) Mr. Josh Anders is an Engineer on Holloman Air Force Base. He is a sound tech and the drill writer for ATB. This is his third year with ATB.  He is a graduate of Palisade High School and NMSU. 

On October 16th the  band represented well winning the championship in competition in El Paso...

On October 25th the band traveled and competed in the the annual Zia Marching Fiesta. In preliminary competition, ATB earned 10th place overall as well as 1st in Class 2A, Outstanding Musical Effect, Outstanding Visual Effect, and Outstanding General Effect.

The Alamogordo Tiger Bands then went on to perform in Finals competition for the first time in 15 years where we ended up placing 9th overall.

The Alamogordo Tiger Band won 1st place in Class B, with recognition for outstanding music performance, outstanding color guard, and outstanding drum major Michael Cruz.
