First Day of School for K, 6th & 9th grades: August 6th, 2025.

First Day of School for 1st-5th, 7th & 8th, 10th-12th grades: August 7th, 2025.

The 2025-2026 academic calendar for Alamogordo Public Schools (APS) is available on the APS website.

Registration for the 2025-2026 school year is open for both new and returning students, according to the Alamogordo Public Schools website.

There will be a mandatory orientation for the Alamogordo High School Flex Path online/hybrid learning opportunity on August 6th, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. at the Alamogordo Public Schools Administrative Complex, Building C. School will begin on August 7th for students accepted into this program.

School zone lights will begin flashing beginning July 30th as a reminder for drivers to slow down and practice safe driving habits as we gear toward the new school year. Let's keep our community safe!
