Alamogordo, NM – Residents interested in service animals are invited to a free educational workshop hosted by the Alamo Senior Center in partnership with Disability Rights New Mexico (DRNM).
The event, titled “All About Service Animals,” will take place on Wednesday, May 27 at 11:30 a.m. in the Alamo Senior Center Dining Room, located at 2201 Puerto Rico Ave., Alamogordo, NM 88310.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn key information, including:
• The important differences between Service Animals and Emotional Support Animals
• Where service animals are legally permitted
• Your rights regarding service animals
• Your responsibilities as a handler or business owner
• Answers to any questions you may have
The workshop is open to the public and especially relevant for individuals with disabilities, seniors, veterans, pet owners, and business operators who want clear, accurate guidance on service animal laws.
Disability Rights New Mexico is a nonprofit law center that provides free legal services and advocacy support to New Mexicans with disabilities.
