Alamogordo, NM – January 9, 2026 – The Alamogordo Police Department released its weekly activity logs covering the period from December 29, 2025, to January 4, 2026, highlighting a range of incidents including drug-related offenses, domestic disputes, warrants, and property crimes during the holiday transition.

Drug-Related Offenses

Officers made multiple arrests involving controlled substances, including methamphetamine, fentanyl, and other drugs. Charges included possession, tampering with evidence, and felon in possession of firearms in connection with drug task force assists. Drug paraphernalia was also cited in several cases

Drug-Related Offenses:

• Multiple arrests for possession of controlled substances (including methamphetamine and fentanyl), trafficking controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Several cases tied to operations with the White Mountain Drug Task Force.

Warrants and Probation Violations:

• Numerous arrests on outstanding Magistrate, Municipal, and District Court warrants, primarily for failure to appear or pay fines.

Trespassing and Shoplifting:

• Repeated incidents of trespassing, with citations and arrests at various locations including retail stores.

• Cases involving shoplifting and related resisting/obstructing charges.

Driving While Intoxicated (DWI):

• Several arrests for DWI, including one following a crash and others from traffic stops, often with additional citations like reckless driving or open container.

Domestic and Violent Incidents:

• Arrests for aggravated battery on household members, assault with intent to commit a violent felony, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and criminal damage to property in domestic disputes.

Disorderly Conduct and Disturbances:

• Citations for disorderly conduct, battery, concealing identity, and resisting/obstructing officers stemming from disturbances, fights, and public contacts.
