The Alamogordo Police Department released its weekly activity log covering November 10 through November 16, 2025, detailing a range of incidents from minor citations to serious felony arrests. The week saw multiple burglaries at a single storage facility, several DWI arrests, shoplifting cases, juvenile referrals stemming from school disturbances, and one high-profile child-exploitation case.
Storage-Unit Burglary Spree
One of the most notable patterns was a series of burglaries and criminal damage at a storage complex in the 2200 block of US Highway 54 South. Between November 9 and November 11, unknown suspects cut locks on multiple units and stole property from at least four units. Investigators believe the incidents are related and are continuing to review surveillance footage.
Serious Felony Arrest
On Thursday, November 13, an arrest was made on a Magistrate Court warrant charging five counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children (possession/distribution of child sexual abuse material) and Tampering with Evidence.
Impaired and Dangerous Driving
Officers made several DWI arrests during the week.
Shoplifting and Retail Theft
Shoplifting incidents remained steady, with arrests or summons issued at various local businesses.
Juvenile Incidents at Alamogordo High School
On Friday, November 14, a disturbance at Alamogordo High School resulted in Juvenile Probation Office referrals for Battery and Interference with Public Officials in separate incidents.
Other Notable Arrests and Citations
Multiple individuals were booked on outstanding bench warrants for Failure to Appear or Failure to Pay.
Trespassing citations were common.
A 68-year-old man was found deceased at a home on Brooks Avenue; the Office of the Medical Investigator ruled the death natural causes.
