APS hosted a Storytelling Camp. What a joyful, imaginative, and creativity-packed time students had at Storytelling Camp. The APS student participants brought stories to life in the most magical ways, from colorful chickens and floating penguins to smiley-faced dangling plants and spoon puppets with their own handmade stages.
Many campers invented characters, built worlds, and even crafted their very own books. Together, they collaborated on larger-than-life big books and cheered one another on during performances!
Students got inspired by a published author, who generously gifted many campers with an autographed copy of her book, and by two amazing storytellers who helped spark even more creativity and confidence in our young authors. Many students left camp dreaming of becoming published authors or professional storytellers someday, and we believe they absolutely can!
Several APS students participated in Lego Camp. Check out a few photos provided by APS highlighting the exciting activities the young engineers who took part in during Lego Camp last week. From building race cars to coding robots, students had an amazing time exploring STEM through hands-on learning. Our 6th- to 12th-grade campers even engineered Spike Prime robots and learned to program them to complete tasks on the FIRST LEGO League Challenge mission board.
And finally last month, the APS Discovery Campers traveled back to the Jurassic Era.
Campers got hands-on by creating fossils out of clay, building volcanoes, and even spotting a few dinosaurs, thanks to some of our amazing teachers.
It was a roar-some day full of creativity, science, and lots of fun.

Looks like her campaign will be generating a few skid marks in it's attempt to gain traction.
Another great Maryland dad.
the saddest part of this story is that we will punish the guy who was hired to do the smuggling - instead of the person(s) who PAID him to do so.
They're catching the ring leaders as well, slowly but surely.
But I'd be interested to know what industries you think might be willing to pay $15k - $20k per person for unskilled labor that they're also at risk of losing to deportation, before getting a single days work out of them?
an extremely sad situation, in which one person was scared, and the other was killed - it is very difficult to imagine reconciling those two facts.
That wasn't fear. That was an extreme over kill... it is sad. And even sadder that anyone could possibly make any excuses for a piece of filth thinking he is above the law because he wears a badge... in fact to even come to that conclusion is sickening... shame on you.
by no means do i think - nor did i say - that the deputy is, somehow, above the law. my comment was simply observing that because he could not control his emotions, an innocent human being is dead...
and that is very sad situation.
