Clovis, NM – In a stunning display of skill and teamwork, the Alamogordo High School boys and girls golf teams both emerged victorious at the Clovis Fall Invite on Monday, October 27, 2025, held at the picturesque course in Clovis.
The event, which wrapped up the fall season for many teams, saw Alamogordo’s athletes shine brightly under clear skies, posting impressive scores that secured top honors for both squads. The girls’ team clinched the win with a collective score of 330, while the boys dominated with 308.
Leading the charge for the girls were Tatum Wright and Ava Armijo, who tied for first place with matching scores of 80. Kylee Wright followed closely in third with an 84, Annelisia Herrera took fourth at 86, and Ellie Clore rounded out the top five with 88. Evanie Clore placed tied for 12th with a 120.
On the boys’ side, Dyson Wright claimed individual gold with a stellar 69, followed by Landon Wright in second at 74 and Brody Wright in third with 77. Jacobi Saldevar and Kolton Stagner both tied for 10th at 82, while Andrez Montoya finished 16th with an 85.
The wins cap off a successful fall campaign for Alamogordo, with both teams set to resume their seasons in March 2026. Coaches and players alike expressed optimism for the spring, building on the momentum from this invitational.
This victory not only highlights the depth of talent in Alamogordo’s golf program but also underscores the competitive spirit of high school athletics in New Mexico. As the teams head into the off-season, fans can look forward to more exciting performances come spring.
