Brian Bailey, a local Alamogordo, New Mexico Domino’s franchise owner, was recently awarded Domino’s esteemed Gold Franny Award for operational excellence.
The Gold Franny Award is the most prestigious honor bestowed on a Domino’s franchise owner. Bailey earned
this award as part of an elite group within about 750 franchise owners in the United States. The award is based on several key factors including operational audit scores, community involvement, store safety and security, and team member morale.
“I cannot think of a more deserving individual to receive a Gold Franny Award than Brian,” said Debbie
Sweeney, Domino’s senior vice president of franchise relations and system engagement. “He is incredibly hard-working, and his involvement in the community and motivation to be the best of the best make him an incredible asset to Domino’s.”
Bailey began working at Domino’s in 1985 as a delivery driver. He worked his way up and purchased his first
store in 1988. Bailey is now the largest Domino’s franchisee in America, owning 158 stores across five states. He is not alone, as more than 95% of Domino’s U.S. franchise owners began their career as part-time delivery drivers or pizza makers.
“Domino’s has delivered, to me and my family, the dream of owning and operating my own business,” said
Bailey. “Domino’s truly provides a fantastic opportunity to those who show initiative and a desire to advance, and I’m a firm believer in giving back. It’s not just about improving my business. It’s about being a part of the community. I’m honored to receive
a Gold Franny Award, but I must give credit to the great team members I have in all my stores. Seeing the motivation that each of my managers bring to work every day motivates me to be better for them.”

many innovative ordering platforms.
He has a store in Alamogordo, but is based in Artesia. Kinda like calling Walmart a local business.
If you look up Peco's Valley Pizza, dba as Domino's Pizza you'll find he has had multiple lawsuits against him and his company, more than one of which were for unpaid wages, among other things.
At one point his store on Holloman AFB came close to being kicked off base for failing to comply with base minimum wage.
Mr. Baake,
I’m the local owner of Domino’s Pizza here in Alamogordo, and I’ve
been proud to be part of this community since the 1970s. I graduated
from Alamogordo High School in 1979 and began delivering pizzas at the
local Domino’s in 1985. After years of hard work and saving, I was
fortunate enough to fulfill a lifelong dream of purchasing the very
store where I got my start.
We are absolutely a local business. While we now operate stores in
several communities across the region, our roots—and my personal
commitment—remain firmly planted in Alamogordo. Our mission has always
been to serve each community with integrity, respect, and a strong sense
of responsibility as a local employer.
Like many businesses, we’ve faced legal challenges over the years. In
today’s world, lawsuits are not uncommon, and anyone can file a claim.
What matters is how we respond—and we’ve always worked to address issues
transparently and in accordance with the law.
As someone who grew up in an Air Force family, I’m especially proud
to operate a location on Holloman AFB. We’ve built a strong, long-term
partnership with the base, and we’re honored that our contract was
recently renewed for another 10 years.
If you or anyone else would like to speak with me directly, I welcome
the opportunity for a respectful conversation. I can be reached at brian@dominosnm.com.
Sincerely,
Brian Bailey
