Mescalero Apache Schools Students are on the road, excelling and going places for success.
Skyla Enjady, Ashlynn Rocha, Angeni Herrera, and Jade Artiaga traveled to San Jose, California, to participate in The Tech Challenge, Gravitate to Navigate 2025.
The 2025 scenario: "There are many ways to get from here to there and back again. Some vehicles are powered by gasoline, electricity, hydrogen, or even solar."
In this year’s Challenge, teams used gravity to power their devices. These young ladies built a device that uses the power of gravity to traverse multiple tracks. Competing with 2,000 students from around California, these ladies were the only school from New Mexico in attendance.

Recently the Mescalero Apache Students won a GRAND PRIZE AWARD as Mescalero Film students. Over 160 films submitted and the students were from all over the state of New Mexico, not just indigenous film makers, but at the end of the awards Mescalero took home the grand prize.
Academics, films and sports success is on the agenda for Mescalero Apache. Cross Country success was recognized with Westly Sago signing on with Eastern New Mexico State University Ruidoso's Cross Country Team
