Homicide and Drug Trafficking Suspects Arrested

 On April 14, 2025, while supporting the ongoing Route 66 Operation, New Mexico State Police (NMSP) Crime Suppression Agents successfully apprehended a homicide suspect and arrested two individuals involved in narcotics trafficking.

During the evening hours, agents received information about the location of homicide suspect Ronald Edward Raymond (67), who had an active arrest warrant out of Sierra County. He was found at a residence in Albuquerque. Throughout the operation, public announcements and police sirens were repeatedly used to encourage the suspect to surrender.

After approximately one hour with no compliance, a search warrant was drafted and executed. Upon entry, verbal commands were issued, and Raymond walked to the hallway and complied. He was taken into custody without further incident.

Route 66 Operation is a collaborative effort with the Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office, the New Mexico State Police, the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, and the New Mexico Corrections Department’s Probation and Parole Division.

Earlier that same day, while operating in an undercover capacity in northeast Albuquerque, Crime Suppression Agents contacted two male subjects, Jeremiah Taylor (23) and Corey Taylor (37), who facilitated two narcotics transactions with the agents. Both suspects were arrested and face felony charges.

Per theNew Mexico State Police in less than 8 weeks of Operation Route 66, agents, deputies, and police have arrested more than 400 people, including Luis Flores.
Late last week, Agents with the Bernalillo County District Attorney's Office and Bernalillo County Sheriff's Deputies seized 28,000 fentanyl pills with a street value of $115,000 when they arrested Flores. A 16-year-old was also arrested in connection with that case. Flores is due in court tomorrow for a pre-trial detention hearing.
