U.S. Rep. Gabe Vasquez (N.M.-02) was sworn in Friday, Jan. 3, 2025, for his second term in the U.S. House of Representatives, pledging to keep his focus on serving the people of New Mexico and putting their needs first.
“I’m here to bring New Mexico values and traditions to Washington and work across the aisle with my colleagues to actually get things done, for New Mexico and for the American people,” Vasquez said. “Whether working to lower costs, create good-paying jobs or secure resources for our rural and urban communities, I’m ready to fight for real solutions that make a difference in people’s lives.”
In his second term, Vasquez vows to continue prioritizing bipartisanship to deliver for New Mexico.
As a member of the House Agriculture Committee, one of his top priorities is passing a Farm Bill that supports America’s farmers and families. Vasquez understands that farms are small businesses, and when they cannot plan for the future, they cannot succeed. It is critical to provide New Mexico’s ranchers and producers with the stability and resources they need to continue feeding our communities and driving the state and national economy forward.
Additionally, on the House Armed Services Committee, Vasquez will work to draft next year’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to ensure it supports service members and their families, while strengthening national security to bolster the safety and well-being of all Americans.
Vasquez takes on his second term “with renewed determination to deliver for his constituents. He will continue to focus on delivering common-sense, bipartisan solutions for New Mexico”.
Sunny, with a high of 100 and low of 71 degrees. Sunny during the morning, clear in the afternoon and evening,
I'm calling on the Secretary of Agriculture to change the official designation of the Lincoln from National Forest, to National Ashtray.
It's designation should be more in line with it's actual use.
After looking at New Mexico election law, a person may run as a candidate for office in the primary of the party they are registered with, without first seeking that party's approval.
this is just another echo of the fight to recognize the health risks of exposure to agent orange in the decades after the vietnam war.
Laymans translation, Mr. Sharp is having some problems proving his clients contracted cancer from PFAS.
Notice he's not crying about coverage for known cancer causing agents, but PRESUMED cancer causing agents. That's because to date, there is no known PROOF of any adverse health effects from PFAS.
there's neighbor john, right on schedule. he has already declared his willingness for other folks to be exposed to well established risks in environmental situations - just as long as he can't see them from where he lives.
So, Miyagishima is going after Republican and Independent voters instead of the Democrat base in a blue state who's election laws are heavily biased towards Democrats. Tells you something about the state of the Democrat Party.

Robert Mace apparently doesn't know his job very well, which is to produce maps that show future risk.
