Other regional sports updates include: 

 Softball -Alamogordo defeated Miyamura 16-2 at the Kristin Griego Tournament in Rio Rancho. The Lady Tigers improve to 6-2 and next play Piedra Vista at 4 PM on Friday. Prior, Alamogordo defeated Farmington 7-4 at the Kristin Griego Tournament in Rio Rancho.

Softball - Alamogordo defeated La Cueva 8-7 in 8 innings in Game 1 of doubleheader.

Game 2 called due to darkness after 2 1/2 innings.

Softball -  Tularosa defeated Kirtland Central 16-0 at Kristin Griego Tournament in Rio Rancho. The Lady Cats improve to 2-0, next play Carlsbad.

Baseball - Alamogordo defeated  Poratles 7-6 in Game 1 of doubleheader. Game 2 cancelled due to travel time for Portales.

Tigers improve to 5-4, next play at Centennial on Tuesday to begin district.
