AlamogordoTownNews.com on KALH Radio Anthony Lucero: Tell our listeners and readers about Otero County Days in Santa Fe.
Lorrie Black "we had our legislators a couple years ago tell us that Otero County needs to be more represented in Santa Fe so that when they go to fund our community there's a face to the name so we started working on this about a year ago through the center of Commerce and me and Amy Tillotson and Vicky Marquardt having done most of the work.
We are just getting excited it's next week, it's on January 18th and 19th and we will have a reception where the legislators will be present and if the local business people are concerned with any of the laws or bills that are being passed they can have one-on-one conversations with our legislators and then on Friday morning we will have a breakfast and the legislators will get to have kind of a round table where they get to present the bills that they're bringing up to Santa Fe and talk to us about them and how it will benefit our community.
Then we'll have a Q&A session there for our patrons as well that are going up to attend this event."
AlamogordoTownNews.com on KALH Radio Anthony Lucero: "Okay and how does someone sign up to go to this go?
Lorrie Black: Go to Alamogordo.com and there is a tab that will pop up actually and you just click and it. It is a really easy signup.
AlamogordoTownNews.com on KALH Radio Anthony Lucero: All right is there anything else you want to share with us about this?
Lorrie Black: "I just really encourage people to go, this is the first year that we are doing it it's very exciting and it's definitely something that the center of Commerce we really excited about and um, we're going to build it over the years. This is a 30-day session so it'll be little smaller one but in the future when they have the longer sessions we're going to continue to do this and maybe make it a bigger event."
