Congratulations to Alysa Hinds of the Alamogordo High School Lady Tiger Wrestling Team. She has been selected the 12/15/23 Tiger Athlete of the Week is sponsored by The Winners' Circle, 101.9 FM and 1230 AM.

In other area sports Boys Basketball - Cloudcroft defeated Hondo Valley 68 to 34 at the Mountain Top Tournament. Hoyt Condito led the Bears with 40 points.
The Bears improved their record to 3 and 2 and will play Cliff at 7 PM on Friday.

Boys Basketball - Tularosa defeated Hagerman 60 to 57 at the Johnny May Classic.  Adrius Guilez led the Wildcats with 14 points, Dillon Salazar had 12 and Estevan Barraza with 10. The Wildcats improve their record to an undefeated 5 and 0 and will play Ruidoso on Friday at 6:30 PM.

Boys Basketball - Mescalero Apache defeated Corona/Vaughn 80 to 21 at the Mescalero Holiday Tournament.  Angelo Rocha led the Chiefs with 12 points, Davin Davis had 11 and Berwyn Duffy and Nicholas Yuzos each had 9. The Chiefs improve their record to 4 and 2 and next face Escalante Friday at 6:30 PM.

Boys Basketball - Alamogordo defeated Deming 62 to 34. Tre Sanders led the Tigers with 12 points, Deonta Bynum had 11 and Damiran Smith had 7.  The Tigers improve to 6 and 1. They host Roswell next Tuesday.

Girls Basketball -  Tularosa defeated Texico JV 48 to 46 at the Texico Tournament. The Lady Cats improved their performance record to 3 and 2. They will play Magdalena on Friday at 7:15 PM.

Girls Basketball - Cloudcroft defeated Carrizozo 56 to 36 at the Mountain Top Tournament. Kylie Adams led the Lady Bears with 20 points, Ellie Beug had 14 and Tristyn Housler had 7.The Lady Bears improved their record to a split 3 and 3. They will play Animas at 5:30 PM on Friday.

Girls Basketball - Mescalero Apache defeated Corona/Vaughn 34 to 29 at the Mescalero Holiday Tournament.  Rocha led the Lady Chiefs with 8 points, Laurdis Sundayman and Kaylyn Chino each had 6 points.  The Lady Chiefs improved their record to an undefeated 4 and zero and they next host Alamo Navajo on Friday at 5 PM.

Girls Basketball -  Alamogordo defeated Deming 46-37. Tenya Gordon led the Lady Tigers with 15 points and Abby Vazquez had 14. The Lady Tigers improved their record  to 3-3 and  next play at Da Vinci Academy in El Paso on Friday.
