Leamon Jones of the Tiger Swimming was awarded the 11/24/23 Tiger Athlete of the Week title is sponsored by The Winners' Circle on 101.9 FM 1230 AM Alamogordo Sports Radio.
The Alamogordo Tigers Boys basketball team played Carlsbad Thursday and won 37 to 34. Game highlights include ending the first quarter Carlsbad led Alamogordo 15 to 7. At Carlsbad led Alamogordo 25 to 15. Ending the 3rd quarter Carlsbad led Alamogordo 27 to 20. Alamogordo boys rallied in the forth and defeated Carlsbad 37 to 34. Damiran Smith led the Tigers with 8 points, Nico Stubblefield had 7 and Tre Sanders with 6. The Tigers improved their record to 2 and 0 and next host Deming on Friday.
Boys Basketball -Alamogordo boys first season game and they defeated Silver 67 to 51. Damiran Smith led the Tigers with 15, Kai Bickham had 13, Nico Stubblefield with 11 and Jason Warren had 10. The Tigers began their season at 1 and 0.
Boys Basketball Mescalero Apache defeated Hagerman 80-69. Darius Wheeler led the Chiefs with 25, Davin Davis has 17 and with Angelo Rocha 12. The Chiefs are 1 and 0 and next play at Laguna Acoma on Friday.
Girls Basketball Roy/Mosquero defeatex Cloudcroft 54 to 22 at the JP Stone Tournament in Dora. Kylie Adams led the Lady Bears with 11 points. The Lady Bears are 0 and 1 and will face either Corona or Dora on Friday at 3 PM.
Girls Basketball Alamogordo defeated Silver 54 to 45. Abby Vazquez led the Lady Tigers with 22, Teeya Gordon had 11, Elizabeth Needham with 8 and Madisen Flores had 7.
The Lady Tigers were then 1 and 0 to next play at Carlsbad.
Girls Basketball Mescalero Apache defeated Hagerman 65-29. Laurdis Sundayman led the Lady Chiefs with 17, Kaylionna Rocha had 15 and Skyla Enjady with 7. The Lady Chiefs now 1 and 0 and next host Loving on Friday.
