Alamogordo Regional Sports Update Football Cross Country and More

The Alamogordo Tigers Football team hosted Las Cruces this weekend at Tiger Stadium. Daniel Amaro 3 yd TD run  Las Cruces led Alamogordo 7to 0 with 9:31 to go in the first quarter. Then Gunnar Guardiola had a 42 yard touchdown Pass to Nate Libby 
Las Cruces then led Alamogordo 14 to 0 Witt 6:37 to go in the first quarter. Las Cruces was running hot in the first quarter. The quarter ended 14 to O.

Quarter 2 began and Daniel Amaro 7 yard touchdown run with Las Cruces leading Alamogordo 21 to 0 with 11:13 to go in the second. Elijah Montoya of Alamogordo scored a 1 yard touchdown run (Vasquez XP was good. 

Las Cruces still was leading Alamogordo 21 to 7 with 3:22 to go in the second quarter.

Then Cruces sought revenge with Gunnar Guardiola  making  it good with a 38 year touchdown pass to Rico Andrade (XP good)
Las Cruces led Alamogordo 28-7 going into halftime. The third quarter kicked off with 

Las Cruces continued to control the game but Anthony Audette succeeded with a 64 yard touchdown run (Vasquez XP good). Las Cruces led Alamogordo 35-14. Elijah Montoya of Alamogordo successfully tossed an 18 yard touchdown pass to D’Andre Martin (Vazquez XP good) Las Cruces led Alamogordo 42-21, 8:44 to go in the 4th Quarter. Not to let it go lightly Las Cruces scored a final blow. Angel Jimenez 5 yard touchdown run (Xp No good). Las Cruces led Alamogordo 48-21 to end the game. In a home game blow Las Cruces defeated Alamogordo 48-21. The Tigers drop to 4 and 3 for the season and  1-1 in district. They play at Hobbs next Friday.

In other football play Hot Springs defeated Mescalero Apache 24-18, The Chiefs drop to 3-4 and play at Estancia next Friday.

In a close game Football Cobre defeated Tularosa 27-26. The Wildcats drop to 4-3 and will host Capitan next Friday.

Alamogordo Tigers competed in Cross Country with the Alamogordo Boys and Girls each finishing 4th at Friday's Coach Mo & Marquise Weast Twilight Meet in Artesia.  Omar Enriquez finished 1st overall for the Boys.  Both teams next run at Sandia Invitational in Albuquerque on Friday.

Volleyball play had Alamogordo defeating Deming in 5 sets (30-28, 15-25, 16-25, 25-12, 15-6).  The Lady Tigers improved their record to 3-9. They begin district on Tuesday vs. Centennial.

Volleyball - Hagerman defeated Mescalero Apache in straight sets. The Lady Chiefs drop to 2-12, next play at Dexter on Thursday.

Volleyball  Cloudcroft defeated  Mesilla Valley Christian in 5 sets (20-25, 25-21, 21-25, 25-14, 16-14). The Lady Bears improve to 14-0 and continue undefeated. They next play at Capitan on October 19th.

Girls Soccer - Las Cruces defeated Alamogordo 2-1. Kay Beach scored for the Lady Tigers, Mila Stevens with the assist.
The Lady Tigers drop to 7-7, 0-4 in district, next host Gadsden on Tuesday.

Boys Soccer -Las Cruces defeated Alamogordo 3-0. The Tiger boys drop to 3-11, 1-3 in district, next play at Gadsden on Tuesday.
