Alamogordo Tiger Girls Track and Field Win District Boys Place 2nd Off to State

Congratulations to the Alamogordo Tiger Girls Track and Field Team and Boys for a successful District 5A competition. The Girls continue to show their dominance this season winning District and are favored heavily to perform well at the state meet. The Alamogordo Tiger Boys also performed well with a 2nd Place District finish and a trip to the State Championships.

Congratsr to the Lady Tigers on winning their 10th consecutive district championship!

Both teams compete at the 5A State Championships in Albuquerque on May 12th and 13th.

Congratulations to Alamogordo Girls and Boys. Expectations are high for the Alamogordo girls to continue a steak or state championships. Ellary Battle as a senior will make her last appearance at the state championships. All eyes are on Yvonne Stinson by Albuquerque Academy and the large schools of Northern New Mexico that have had to step up competition in her events. Battle broke a record dating back to 1984 at the Marilyn Sepulveda Invitational and has been under the watchful eye of collegiate recruiters throughout her high school career. We wish each participant good luck at the upcoming state meet and congratulations for their district performance.
