I read the budget and there isn't $4 million in Economic Development, plus this project ISN'T economic development. Further, issuing bonds assumedly will be paid back by admissions and rentals, which is thin-thinking. So, again, taxpayers will pay. Say NO on this.
Existing pool is in need of significant repairs and upgrades and is obsolete to modern ada and other standards. A retractable cover would cost significantly as well plus upgrades necessary the math does not work out.
ADA regulations can be met and upgrades can be done over time much easier than building new indoor pool Sir that will be a financial debacle chargeing high admissions as the outdoor pool does now.
