In Memory of Juanita Gloria Guerra Brusuelas

Juanita Gloria Guerra Brusuelas, 94, of Tularosa passed peacefully while sleeping on Monday, April 6, 2026. She was born December 24, 1931, in Otero County, NM to Nicanor and Erminia (Chavez) Guerra.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 54 years, Santiago; son, Godfrey; brothers, Ramon, Rudolfo, Nicanor, Benjamin; sisters, Adelina, Lupita Apodaca, Pauline Aragon, Juanita.

She is survived by her loving children, Katherine Tyler, William (Dolores) Brusuelas, Patricia Brusuelas, Gary Brusuelas, Dennis Brusuelas, Lorraine (Larry) Lopez, Ernesto Brusuelas; her grandchildren, Rodney Brusuelas, Felicia Tyler, Michelle Johnson, Lisa Brusuelas, Frederick Tyler, Rebecca Miller, Melissa Brusuelas, Christopher Brusuelas; 31 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren.

Juanita was a devout Catholic and an active member of St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church, singing in the choir and volunteering in the thrift store for many years. She helped raise her 8 grandchildren. She was always cooking, sewing, and teaching catechism.

Services for Juanita Brusuelas will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited for the repose of Juanita’s soul at 10:00 am with Funeral Mass celebrated at 10:30 am.

Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery next to Santiago.

Pallbearers are Rodney Brusuelas, Frederick Tyler, Jacob Stevens, Rudy Guerra, Devante Shepard, and Ben Guerra.
