Alamogordo, NM — An Alamogordo High School graduate who started delivering pizzas here more than 40 years ago is now the largest Domino’s franchise owner in the United States — and he’s bringing even better service back to the community where his remarkable journey began.

Brian Bailey, a 1979 graduate of Alamogordo High School, owns Team Bailey, operating 160 Domino’s stores across Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas. His organization employs more than 3,000 team members and continues to expand with a strong focus on growth, operational excellence, and giving back.

Bailey’s story is deeply tied to Alamogordo. His father was stationed at Holloman Air Force Base in the 1970s, and the family lived off-base in town, where his parents later retired.

“I attended Alamogordo Senior High School and graduated in 1979,” Bailey shared. “Growing up in a military family and staying active in sports shaped my understanding of discipline, standards, execution, and how to coach people to achieve their full potential.”

He began working as a delivery driver for the local Domino’s in 1985 while searching for what he thought would be his “real job.” Just 58 days later, he was promoted to store manager. In 1988, he bought his first store. By the late 1990s, he owned 12 locations and was completely debt-free. Rather than slowing down, Bailey committed to long-term growth.

In 2025, he acquired 45 additional stores in Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma, securing the title of Domino’s largest U.S. franchisee. A new store opening earlier this year pushed Team Bailey to the 160-store milestone.

To deliver even better offers, faster service, and improved convenience for Alamogordo customers, a brand-new Domino’s building is currently being erected at the intersection of Florida Avenue and White Sands Boulevard. This modern facility will enhance operations at one of the city’s key corridors, and bring expanded capacity to better serve local families, Holloman personnel, and the broader community.

Bailey’s leadership team operates under three core values: growth, great operations, and giving back. Last year, Team Bailey contributed nearly $250,000 to the Domino’s Partners Foundation — setting a new record — while also supporting local schools, food banks, and nonprofit programs in New Mexico and across their markets.

“Starting as a young delivery driver in Alamogordo, I never imagined this path,” Bailey reflected. “It proves what’s possible with commitment, strong values, and staying connected to the communities that helped you start.”

Mayor Sharon McDonald today extended warm congratulations to Brian Bailey on his extraordinary achievement.

“On behalf of the City of Alamogordo, I want to offer my heartfelt congratulations to Brian Bailey and the entire Team Bailey organization,” said Mayor McDonald. “Brian’s journey from delivering pizzas in our community in 1985 to building one of the most successful franchise operations in the nation is a shining example of what dedication, discipline, and vision can achieve. We are proud that his roots are here in Alamogordo, and we’re excited about the new Domino’s location rising at Florida Avenue and White Sands Boulevard — a clear sign of continued investment in our local economy and better service for our residents.”

Mayor McDonald added a thoughtful reflection:

“True success isn’t just measured in stores or numbers — it’s measured in the jobs created, the communities strengthened, and the example set for our young people that hard work and strong values still open doors in America. Brian’s story reminds all of us that greatness can begin right here at home.”

From a part-time job in 1985 to leading the nation’s biggest Domino’s franchise operation, Brian Bailey’s success story highlights the entrepreneurial spirit and dedication that began right here in Alamogordo. The new Florida and White Sands location is expected to open soon, offering quicker delivery, efficient carryout, and continued access to Domino’s popular menu items and local deals.

Congratulations to Brian Bailey, his wife and business partner Michelle Bailey, and the entire Team Bailey organization on this outstanding achievement and their continued investment in Alamogordo!
