Alamogordo, NM – The City of Alamogordo is inviting developers, contractors, engineers, property owners, and anyone interested in subdivision and land development to review and provide feedback on a major update to its Subdivision Ordinance.
The comprehensive rewrite aims to create clearer, more modern regulations that will guide future growth and development while reflecting the community’s vision for quality of life. The current draft incorporates input from the City Commission, key stakeholders, professional consultants (including Bohannan Huston), and City staff. Officials are now seeking broader community and industry perspectives before finalizing the document.
City officials emphasize that public participation is crucial to ensure the updated ordinance is practical, equitable, and workable for everyone involved in land development.
Public Workshop Scheduled
Residents and stakeholders have two opportunities to attend an in-person public workshop for discussion and direct feedback:
• Location: City Commission Chambers
• Date: Monday, March 30, 2026
• Times: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
The sessions will include City staff and are designed to facilitate open conversation about the proposed changes.
