Cloudcroft Track & Field: Girls Finish 5th, Boys 10th at Zimmerly Relays in Socorro; Cassia Moore Wins High Jump State Qualifier

The Cloudcroft High School track and field teams turned in a strong showing Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Zimmerly Relays hosted by Socorro High School. The Cloudcroft girls placed 5th overall, while the boys finished 10th in a competitive multi-school meet.

The Zimmerly Relays served as an excellent early-season benchmark. Cloudcroft coaches were encouraged by the girls’ 5th-place team finish and the boys’ competitive 10th-place result, with strong depth in the relays and field events.

Cassia Moore’s state-qualifying high jump win, along with her additional scoring performances, stood out as a highlight for the Lady Bears.

Cloudcroft now shifts focus to its next competition — the Gas Capital Relays in Jal on Thursday. This meet will provide another chance for athletes to sharpen times, distances, and marks as the season progresses toward district and state competition.
