Alamogordo, NM – March 24, 2026 – The Alamogordo City Commission will hold its regular meeting this evening at 6:30 p.m. in the Donald E. Carroll Commission Chambers at City Hall, 1376 E. Ninth Street.
The agenda features several significant items, with the future of Desert Lakes Golf Course taking center stage. Proposers will present their visions for operating and managing the course, followed by a possible decision on awarding the contract.

• Ordinance 1722 – Authorizing a $12,000,000 loan and intercept agreement for the construction, equipping, and furnishing of a new municipal natatorium (swimming pool facility) as per voter approved directive, (roll call vote required).
New Business:
• Award of RFP 2026-001 – Decision on which vendor (Maxim Golf, American Golf, or Kemper Sports Management) will receive the contract for Golf Course Management and Operation Services.
• Appointment of three board members to the Otero County Solid Waste Authority (OCSWA).
• Additional appointments to various boards and committees.
The meeting will also include the standard Call to Order, Invocation & Pledge, Public Comment period, City Manager’s Report, and Commissioner Remarks before adjournment.
