Alamogordo, NM – The Alamogordo Police Department has released its official weekly activity report for March 9 through March 15, 2026. Officers responded to a total of 52 incidents and arrests/charges during the week, with continued emphasis on drug enforcement, domestic violence response, child protection, and warrant service. Nine juvenile referrals were also issued.
Summary of Offenses by Category (Exact Totals)
• Drug-Related Offenses: 5 arrests (including methamphetamine trafficking and related charges; several handled with the White Mountain Regional Drug Task Force)
• Domestic Violence & Assaults: 12 incidents (including aggravated assaults and battery against household members)
• Child Abuse Cases: 3 arrests
• Driving While Intoxicated (DWI): 3 arrests
• Resisting or Obstructing an Officer: 7 cases
• Disorderly Conduct: 2 incidents
• Shoplifting: 2 cases
• Theft / Larceny: 1 case
• Other Arrests / Warrants Served: 8 (primarily failure-to-appear warrants)
• Traffic Violations (non-DWI): 3 charges
Notable Incidents
• One shots-fired event occurred during a vehicle pursuit following a verbal disturbance (no injuries reported).
• One unattended death was investigated and ruled due to natural causes.





The department handled numerous additional calls for service involving trespassing, criminal damage to property, and quality-of-life issues. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
