Alamogordo, NM — Come and join October 18, 2025 as Thrive in Southern New Mexico will host its First Annual Corks & Shells Wine & Pistachio Festival this Saturday at Alameda Park, offering a full day of local flavor, artisan shopping, live entertainment, and community engagement. The festival features wine tastings from four regional producers—Heart of the Desert, Noisy Water Winery, Ruidoso Fine Wine & Art, and Tularosa Vineyards—alongside pistachio-inspired culinary creations and food trucks. More than two dozen vendors will showcase handcrafted goods, fashion, and local services, including Alamogordo MainStreet, Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center, and Southern NM Family Services.

Entertainment will be provided throughout the day by acoustic group Yankee Lima, DJ Dale Rulbe, and Dzak Sukarno, with performances scheduled at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. A paint-and-sip session featuring the “Witchy Pumpkin” design adds a creative twist to the festivities.

Admission is $15 in advance and $20 at the gate, with designated driver tickets available for $5. Children and guests under 21 are admitted free, making the event family-friendly. Tickets can be purchased online at letsthrivenm.org.

In partnership with the Kiwanis Club of Alamogordo, Thrive will also host a shoe drive to benefit local youth. Attendees who donate new shoes will receive a $10 pizza gift certificate as a thank-you for their support
