Tularosa, NM – Tularosa Municipal Schools will dismiss all students at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, following the move-up of Tularosa High School’s graduation ceremony.
The district made the change to better accommodate graduates, families, and guests. Sack lunches will be provided for students, and buses will run their regular afternoon routes.
Parents and guardians with questions are asked to contact their child’s school building directly.

• 6th Grade Awards Ceremony: Wednesday, May 20 – 8:30 a.m.
• 7th Grade Awards Ceremony: Wednesday, May 20 – 10:00 a.m.
These events mark the final days of the 2025-2026 school year, with Wednesday serving as the last day of school for K-12 students.
The district thanks families for their flexibility with the adjusted schedule and wishes all graduates and students a safe and successful end to the school year.

We appreciate that Mayor McDonald is being proactive on the water infrastructure issue. We feel there may be a reckoning regarding the water issue in the Southwest in the not too distant future. We also appreciate the informative reporting. Keep up the good work!
Wow Stu! Spoken like a person that never got punched in the mouth and it shows. Secondly, I’m not sure proactive is the right term when you state after years of neglect. Does this mean water infrastructure becomes a priority or attempts at Natatoriums and pretty signs?
